What appeared to be a man in his early thirties sat at a bar while slowly drinking beer. His hair was blonde and unkempt as were his clothes. One could tell that this man wasn't able to support himself. He didn't talk unless societal rules dictated that he should.
This man wasn't who he appeared though. For starters he wasn't a man at all but an avian species known as a Yaeflon and was a Third Gender (aka agender). Their actual name was Birchurawkp but they went by Bob on Earth. The reason they looked human at the moment wasn't because of something like the Escafil Device which changed a creature's entire genetic structure, but by a Kawomin. It was a piece of bio-technology from the Yaeflon that was a jelly-like creature that went over a creature's body to outwardly change their appearance.
Birch appeared to be just an easy going patron, but they were really taking careful observations of the species. They had been sent to Earth to observe the planet in preparation for humanity gaining space travel. Birch, like the majority of Yaeflon, consider themself part of the chosen species so they felt more comfortable with observing than actual action. Not that Birch was someone who would sit back if a creature needed help.
Birch interacted when needed to and the more flirty humans made him slightly nervous. Like most Third Genders they didn't have a sex drive, though it might be possible that they did have a very small one that they didn't know about yet, and performing coitus to keep their cover was interesting but draining. They had studied how each species did coitus so they was a good 'lover' when they needed to be.
Birch turned their attention to the humans just arriving.

Ti walked into the bar and slid into a chair at the bar. She ordered a coke and a sandwich.
<Glad to see you eating without me practically forcing it down your throat,> Norpo commented, sending a smile her way.
"Shove it," she muttered into her sandwich, taking a bite. Honestly, the only reason she was at a bar was because she was meeting a guy. Norpo and Nichole had been pushing her to "get out there". She needed to socialize, and she had begrudgingly agreed to go on a date with a guy she met online.
Her phone buzzed, and she let out a sigh, taking it out. Hey, she read, as much as I was looking forward to our date, something's come up...I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to cancel. Also, um...please don't take this personally, but my ex and I just got back together, so, yeah.
Ti rolled her eyes. "Damn mother mmmpher..." she muttered, shoving a part of the sandwich in her mouth.

Birch watched a human woman Controller, he could tell by the smell once she had come close enough, sit down at the bar and yet didn't order any alcohol. The whole reason humans came to bars was to drink. Which meant this woman didn't drink for some reason or another and was most likely meeting someone. While trying not to give a stalkerish appearance, he saw her look at a text and then appear angry.
"He not coming?" Birch asked, trying to appear friendly by human standards. "So he gets you all the way here and changes his mind?"
They rolled their eyes and chugged down some beer.
Though they would've reacted differently if they had not been undercover, they still thought whoever it was was a jerk. It wasn't like the Yeerk invasion was common knowledge to humans, so he had been a normal human douche.

Ti looked up at the guy, raising an eyebrow. She swallowed her bite and replied, "And how do you know it's not a she?" She took a sip of coke, flicking her eyes over his body. She had to admit, he was kinda, well, hot. Not that either of them exactly knew this person was actually agender.
"I'm just joking," she added. "Yeah. Idiot stood me up. So, can I help you?"
Post by Birchurawkp on Feb 20, 2015 18:26:55 GMT -6
Birch smiled and nodded their head.
"I'm glad you were joking." They replied. "Just want to think I'd have a chance with you. Not that I'm backing on the whole 'she got dumped so she'll get with the first guy she sees' thing. Or first woman."
In truth, Birch would like to talk to this Controller more. But they didn't want to become involved with the Andalite/Yeerk War. While they were sure the Council would choose the side against the Yeerks if the time came, that time wasn't now.
And if this were to turn into a one night stand...they thought that researching coitus would be interest with this one.

"Who says I'm trying to pick you up?" she joked, indicating the seat next to her with her drink. She took another bite of sandwich. She swallowed it down. She blushed a little at the complement. "Thanks. Not a lot of people say that to me."
She chugged the soda down, feeling embarrassed at the complement. Along with her reaction. "Can I get a refill?" she asked, pushing the glass towards the bartender. He quickly refilled it for her.

Birch took the seat next to her and said, "Unless you are using me as a seat warmer for someone else, I would say you are."
Birch tried to control their smile when they saw the Controller blush.
"Most people don't notice pretty things. They're too busy. But when you're homeless and jobless, you have the time." Birch said and then they made their human mask blush. "Well, that's a poor way to have a chance with you. By the way, I'm Bob."

Ti laughed. "Actually, I was hoping you could warm up that seat for me," she said with a wink.
She took another drink. "Yeah..." she said, feeling a bit awkward. "So, yeah, it's nice to meet you, Bob. I'm Ti."
She took a sip and sort of smiled. "You know...I've been looking for a roommate. I mean, I don't know if you'd be interested, or if it would even work out, but you know...it'd give you somewhere to hang out at least a little while you might look for a job?" She shrugged a shoulder.

"Well I hope you make it worth my while." He said with a grin.
Birch smiled at her and tried to decide. They liked living in a cave but being a roommate would give them opportunities. They could research a specific human life-style plus how an average Controller lived among humans. And if coitus was involved? That would be fine by him since the other benefits were good.
And it wasn't like Birch couldn't visit their cave from time to time.
But Birch was playing a good, kind-hearted human so they couldn't just jump at the chance.
"You met me at a bar and know I'm homeless. Plus I don't have a job." Bob said with a raised eye-brow. "I mean...I would love being your roommate, but I don't want to feel like I'm cashing in on you being on a dry spell."

"Fortune, fame, and obesity. The American Dream." Birch said with a grin. "I guess I could hardly refuse that kind of offer. Can I get you anything? I'm guessing you don't drink but I could get you something. Feels wrong you offering me a place to stay and fame without getting you something."

Leoff 568/Sub-Visser 19: And it was the Andalites who are responsible for it all happening. Have you ever heard of Prince Seerow?
Feb 28, 2015 1:37:01 GMT -6
Marco Ritz: You mean a pretty chill dude whose kindness was repaid by the Yeerks taking advantage of him? And let's say he's really bad, the whole Andalite race doesn't have to think they did it. It isn't like one guy equals the entire race.
Feb 28, 2015 1:40:30 GMT -6
Marco Ritz: And he wasn't the one screaming genocide, that would be Alloran.
Feb 28, 2015 1:41:22 GMT -6
Leona Marie Cabbell: I could see humans allowing the yeerks to stay and take voluntary hosts. They could also help our justice system. Instead of putting violent offenders in jail just up a yeerk in their head so their's no risk of them reoffending.
Feb 28, 2015 12:48:44 GMT -6
Leona Marie Cabbell: But I think the average yeerk prefers an all out invasion.
Feb 28, 2015 12:49:43 GMT -6
Forlin & Arliss 557: I favour a quid-pro-quo arrangement. Yeerk and host share everything. I've declined to share my laziness with Forlin, however, as he wouldn't benefit from it. -- Arliss

Forlin & Arliss 557: And of course, hosts must be voluntary. No involuntari3s. The others could be used in the Justice system. Perhaps the rest could acquire Hork Bajir and be soldiers? Morph them I mean.
Feb 28, 2015 13:48:33 GMT -6
Birchurawkp: Peace would be better than war. More beneficial to both sides.
Feb 28, 2015 21:10:29 GMT -6
Sazka 14: how would it benefit my people? Even the strictest of earth justice systems only jail 1/100 of their people, and we'd be giving up our other hosts. You'd condemn us to life of blindness and drudgery.
Mar 1, 2015 13:41:19 GMT -6
Leona Marie Cabbell: There is also of possibility of all Yeerks becoming Nothlits. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Andalites ended the war by sharing technology?
Mar 1, 2015 17:02:47 GMT -6
Birchurawkp: I would assume any Yeerks that wouldn't comply would be sent offworld to be dealt with. The fate of the Yeerks shouldn't be entirely up to any one species. Andalites are too close and humans are too young to galatic matters.
Mar 1, 2015 19:36:26 GMT -6
Birchurawkp: And if some Yeerks got morphing powers and became nothlits then you wouldn't be blind to the world.
Mar 1, 2015 19:36:53 GMT -6
Sazka 14: so my race should be extinguished then?
Mar 1, 2015 22:06:11 GMT -6
Birchurawkp: No, of course not. No species should be eradicated. Each species provides a unique perspective on the galaxy. As a Yeaflon, I would never suggest genocide. If no Yeerks could live on Earth then to live on Earth they would have to become (c)
Mar 1, 2015 23:16:02 GMT -6
Birchurawkp: nothlits or move to a different world. My good friend Norpo is not someone who I think should be forced to leave his host Ti as she likes his company and he likes her.
Mar 1, 2015 23:16:42 GMT -6
Leona Marie Cabbell: Your race should learn to coexist with other races, rather then try to rule them.
