Personality: Leona has always been a kind and passionate person willing to fight for what she believes in. However her true personality has only really been seen in small glimpses over the past seven years, on the few occasions when Visser Six allowed her to make a decision in ‘their’ lives. Free once again Leona almost seems to struggle to find her self, having been controlled for nearly seven years and now being trapped in a body that is not her own. It is clear that she is a bit reckless at times when it comes to her own safety, however when the lives of others are in her hands Leona is very calculating and cautious. Once a gifted singer, she love to loose her self in music, sing along to whatever was playing on the radio at the top of her lungs. There are moments when she secretly wishes to be some kind of rock star.

Appearance:
Then: Leona was once a slender young twenty-one year old human girl with bright eyes that are blue with hazel around the pupils. Her auburn hair had once hung in long wild layers, until she became a controller. While under Visser Six's controller those red locks were usually tied back out of the way, sleek and well kept. Leona preferred to dress casually, with a bit of an indy punk rock flare. Visser Six however, usually dressed her host in more sensible clothing, always looking stream lined and put together.


Now: Leona is trapped in a morph of Shalaren-Valael-Alrielaren, a female andalite who only recently came of age. Shalaren was a petite and delicate looking female. Her purple fur is paler then most andalite females with pinkish undertones. She had bright, alert looking amber eyes. Like most females the blade on her long powerful tail was significantly small that those of male Andalites, looking almost cute by comparison.



Background:
Despite having lost her mother during complication at her birth Leona grew up with a loving father in a small town in California. Before becoming a controller Leona was like any normal teenager, she loved learning and accelerated at school, particularly in anthropology and was one of the lead soloist in the school choir, and helped out at her father's bakery in the evenings. Leona had a happy life until the age of fourteen when the yeerk's scouting team came to Earth. They chose the small quiet town because it had so few inhabitants and thought they would not be missed if taken captive.

Seven years prior to Elfangor's crash in the construction site, a yeerk scouting team was sent to collect human specimens for study. To test they're physical limitations, viability for combat and start a small breeding group in space should the invasion of Earth fail. The scouting team was swift and ruthless, taking every human in the town captive or killing those they could not capture, leaving nothing but a ghost town. By the time surrounding cities realized the town was completely empty the yeerk ships were gone. The local papers in surrounding cities ran articles about the mysterious disappearance of the town's inhabitants, but as the yeerks had suspected, no one paid much attention to the disappearance of such a small community. Those who were captured were either infested or experimented on, testing the human's pain thresh holds, accuracy capabilities with dracon beams, or hand to hand combat capabilities. Many of the infested humans were forced to breed with one another, beginning a stockpile of human hosts should the invasion fail. The yeerk leading the scouting team, Nxion One Two One, taken by the crimson color of Leona's hair Nxion took her as a host. For her efforts in capturing the human hosts Nxion was awarded the rank of Visser Six. For seven years Leona lived on bored yeerk ships, and alien worlds, only under her own control when she was caged every three days so Nxion could feed. She was forced to watch as Visser Six used her body to capture other species from various planets for similar experiments, as well as fighting in the war against the andalites.

It wasn’t until about seven years later that she would find freedom once again. Visser Six, and Leona, were on their way back toward Earth to aid in it's invasion, when they encountered an andalite dome ship. Despite being extremely out numbered Visser Six engaged the andalites in battle. As always Leona fought against the yeerks control hopping her efforts might get them both killed. She'd attempted suicide a few times in the past while Visser Six was feeding but all had failed. When it seemed that they would surly die in battle a dark voice echoed through Leona's head saying “Give up, and I'll ensure you survive to fight again.” Leona thought perhaps she was simply going crazy or that it had simply been Nxion speaking to her, though it was not the voice she was use to hearing in her head. She wasn't even sure if the voice had been speaking to her or the yeerk, however she quickly suspected the massage had been for Visser Six when the yeerk did something Leona would have never thought possible, he surrendered. Visser Six, as well as a few other controllers on board were taken captive, and questioned until the yeerks finally died off, starving from lack of kandrona rays. Visser Six was the last of the captives to die, or so it seemed. It was usually a yeerks instinct to leave their host before dying, however it appeared that Visser Six fought against this, remaining in Leona's head. The trauma of the yeerk dying in her head caused a grand mal seizure after which Leona was unconscious for several hours. Upon awakening, however, she was free, though still suffers random migraines to this day.

Having been a controller for so long she of course knew of the andalites, but knew only what Visser Six had allowed her to. For a few days she was questioned by the aliens, the andalites hopping she might know something the Yeerk in her head had been keeping from them. Once they were confident they’d learned all they could from Leona she was handed over to a young scientist by the name of Shalaren-Valael-Alrielaren to watch over her. Most on board the dome ship seemed to look down upon her as a lesser species. Having been a yeerk host for so long Leona looked down upon her self too heavily to care much what the andalites thought of her. Shalaren, however was fascinated by the human and wanted to learn all she could from her. It wasn't long before the two were calling each other friend. Being a bored a ship of herbivores the omnivorous human had little to eat in the way of protein and after a time it was becoming apparent that Leona had lost a significant amount of weight and was growing weaker. Shalaren pleaded with ships commanders that Leona had to be returned to Earth in order to survive, but was simply told that they had more important missions to carry out first.

In an act of desperation Shalaren decided they would steal one of the small fighter ships, and she would take Leona back her self. The plan was to try and slip past the Yeerk’s perimeters unnoticed, however things didn't work out quite like they’d planed. After being spotted they had no choice but to blast through the ships coming after them. Unfortunately Shalaren couldn't handle the guns and pilot at the same time, and the controls were operated through the andalites telepathic language. Knowing the former controller would have a great deal more combat experience, and with littler other options Shalaren ignored her people's laws and gave morphing powers to Leona, and instructed the human girl to absorb her and take on her form.

The fight was not pretty, and the little ship was forced to crash down on Earth. Shalaren was mortally wounded in the crash, and Leona had broken a leg and was knocked unconscious. She awoke dazed and confused to Shalaren’s last words being spoke in
her head. By the time Leona realized what was going on it was already too late and she could not morph back in to her own body. She was a nothlit.
